Total synthesis of a novel highly sensitive fluorine-19 MRI molecule
Abstract:Fluorine-19 magnetic resonance imaging (19F MRI) is well suited for functional imaging because fluoride compounds are only found in teeth and bones as solid salts. In contrast, 1H MRI suffers from background signal interference caused by high water content in human tissue. However, there is no suitable fluorine-containing probe on the market to date for 19F MRI. Based on this, we used catechol as the starting substrate to efficiently and simply synthesize compound 9 containing 72 fluorine atoms through a seven-step reaction. , a strong fluorine signal, which provides the possibility for 19F MRI at low concentrations. It has a good application prospect.
